MSC Implements General Rate Increase for India to USA East Coast/Gulf Coast/San Juan Route

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announces a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective from February 12, 2024, for shipments from India to USA East Coast, USA Gulf Coast, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The GRI amounts to USD 1000 per 20'DV, SOC, SOT, Open Top & Flat Rack, and USD 1000 per 40'DV/HC, SOC, SOT, Open Top & Flat Rack. This increase is in addition to the GRIs on January 22, 2024, and January 29, 2024. Applicable to all containers handed over to MSC custody from February 12, 2024.

MSC Implements Additional General Rate Increase (GRI) for India to USA Routes

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announces a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective from 4th March 2024 handover, Ex India to USA East Coast, USA Gulf Coast, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. The quantum includes USD 1000 per 20'DV, SOC, SOT, Open Top & Flat Rack, and USD 1000 per 40'DV/HC, SOC, SOT, Open Top & Flat Rack. This additional GRI follows the one implemented on 12th February 2024.

Maersk Announces Rate Increase for Pakistan, Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent to North America

Maersk issues a Customer Advisory notifying a Rate Increase effective from February 10, 2024, for shipments from Pakistan, Middle East & Indian Sub-Continent to North America (United States & Canada). The increase applies to all cargo types and various container sizes, with amounts as follows: USD 1000 for 20DRY, USD 1500 for 40DRY and 40HC, and USD 1500 for 45HC. 

MSC Introduces Contingency Adjustment Charge for India Routes

MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) announces the implementation of a Contingency Adjustment Charge (CAC) effective from December 27, applicable to all shipments (Dry and Reefers) from India to East Africa, South Africa, IOS, Mozambique, Somalia (Mogadishu), Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and New Caledonia. The CAC amounts to USD 500 per TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit). Customers with queries are advised to contact their respective Sales Support Executive. MSC assures customers of the same reliable and efficient service.

MSC Implements Peak Season Surcharge for Middle East to Mombasa Route

MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) announces the application of a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) due to robust demand in the Middle East and IPAK region for the Kenyan market. Effective from January 15, 2024, the PSS amounts to USD 500 per container for both dry and reefer cargoes from the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh to Mombasa. Customers with inquiries are encouraged to contact local MSC representatives across their global network of over 675 offices.

MSC Announces General Rate Increase for India to USA West Coast

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company issues a Client Advisory, declaring a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective from February 8, 2024, for shipments from India to USA West Coast. The GRI amounts to USD 1000 per 20'DV, 40'DV, and 40'HC containers, including SOC, SOT, Reefer, Open Top, and Flat Rack. This increase is in addition to the GRIs on January 18, 2024, and February 1, 2024. Applicable to all containers handed over to MSC custody from February 8, 2024, the decision is made to ensure the high level of reliability and efficiency of MSC services. MSC expresses gratitude for continuous cargo support, assuring customers of the same reliable and efficient service.

MSC Imposes General Rate Increase for India to Canada West Coast

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company issues a Client Advisory, announcing a General Rate Increase (GRI) effective from February 8, 2024, for shipments from India to Canada West Coast. The GRI amounts to USD 1000 per 20'DV, 40'DV, and 40'HC containers, covering SOC, SOT, Reefer, Open Top, and Flat Rack. This increase is in addition to the GRI on February 1, 2024. Applicable to all containers handed over to MSC custody from February 8, 2024, the decision is made to maintain the high level of reliability and efficiency of MSC services. MSC expresses gratitude for continuous cargo support, assuring customers of the same reliable and efficient service.
