Fob refers to a contract under which the seller is responsible for the costs, freight, and risk of goods until they are onboard the vessel. The seller is also responsible for exporting and clearing the goods. Transport from the port of discharge to the shipment's final destination and the costs associated with import customs clearance, risk, and handling at the destination port are the buyer's responsibility.
